"Thank you for DogStarNYC, in general. The site speaks to so many kinds of interests; it discerns which qualities will appeal to many different tastes in a tremendous number of activities. I love how it encourages young people to pay attention to the unusual.

In New York we let so many teens walk around the periphery, mildly shell-shocked by life, while the information that they need to make sense of their world sits in the center of the room. DogStarNYC welcomes them into the middle of the room; the blog tells them how to walk there." - Stacy L.

Celebrate and Create! Artists and Writers @ The Met - Bring your friends!

Dog Star says MAKE PLANS TODAY!  What are you waiting for?  Something way better to come up?  Image in this post is Henri Matisse's painting "Woman with a Hat" from 1905, part of the Steins Collect exhibition.  The Met is planning a FREE program for teens related to this incredible art show.

Are you an artist, a writer, or both? Come surround yourself with modern art in the exhibition The Steins Collect: Matisse, Picasso, and the Parisian Avant-Garde. Then take a page from art collector and experimental author Gertrude Stein's book and turn language into an art form with the guidance of a writer and an artist.  The classes are free, but registration is required.  Enrollment is limited. To register, please use the online registration form.
