"Thank you for DogStarNYC, in general. The site speaks to so many kinds of interests; it discerns which qualities will appeal to many different tastes in a tremendous number of activities. I love how it encourages young people to pay attention to the unusual.
In New York we let so many teens walk around the periphery, mildly shell-shocked by life, while the information that they need to make sense of their world sits in the center of the room. DogStarNYC welcomes them into the middle of the room; the blog tells them how to walk there." - Stacy L.

Happy New Year Dog Star Readers!
We have officially ended the first decade of the 21st century. Now, onto the second decade of the new century. What have we learned?
Esquire, the national men's lifestyle magazine, runs an annual issue each January featuring men and women who share their life experiences and wisdom.
Find a sampling of celebrity wisdom here
In this same issue Kelsey Grammer and Yao Ming have interesting things to say. 50 Cent shows real humility and respect for his place in the hip hop / music industry.
However, in real tiny print running along the bottom of the magazine's pages is wisdom from Esquire readers. And DOG STAR really likes this one from Ayman Al-Abdullah, 22, in Miami:
"You will gain more friends in two months by becoming interested in others than in two years of trying to get others interested in you."
We think it is a great way to begin 2010!
