"Thank you for DogStarNYC, in general. The site speaks to so many kinds of interests; it discerns which qualities will appeal to many different tastes in a tremendous number of activities. I love how it encourages young people to pay attention to the unusual.

In New York we let so many teens walk around the periphery, mildly shell-shocked by life, while the information that they need to make sense of their world sits in the center of the room. DogStarNYC welcomes them into the middle of the room; the blog tells them how to walk there." - Stacy L.

Cheap! DOG STAR THEATER PICK! Park Slope's Gallery Players to Offer "Caroline, or Change" A Musical

DOG STAR is excited about this revival of the Tony Kushner musical "Caroline, Or Change."  We saw it first at The Public Theater and then on Broadway.  In those productions, Tonya Pinkins was a magical performer.

We're pretty sure Tonya Pinkins will not be in this production, but it will be worth seeing anyway.  It's about a Jewish boy and his black maid in Louisiana during Civil Rights era and their unlikely friendship.  It has great songs and a great story line to keep you engaged the whole time!

The show will ONLY be on from January 30 to February 21, 2010, Tickets are $18.00.  Do not miss this DOG STAR THEATER PICK!
