DOG STAR knows there are many poets and writers among us.  PEN is an international organization dedicated to fighting for the rights of writers, especially those imprisoned for speaking out.

PEN also has a program to bring writing workshops to prisons.  We found a video of Lemon's reading from a prize-winning poem and other work.  Watch other poets and writers in the same evening at the PEN website.
